Welcome BACK to Shakespeare’s Gym, come and work out!
We’ve got another round in the ring with William Shakespeare lined up in our third Shakespeare’s Gym, A Shakespeare Intensive Workshop being offered to those interested in ‘brushing up’ their Shakespeare!
One of the great challenges facing artists who want to perform Shakespeare is the opportunity to actively do it and experience it with others. Under the support and guidance of our facilitator, you will spend 2 days learning from each other, challenging yourselves, and refining your skills with the Bard!

Your Gym Coach: Rodrigo Beilfuss
You may recognize Rodrigo Beilfuss as the director of The Dark Lady from our 2023 Season, but now you get the chance to learn and refine your skills with his support and guidance over an intense, fun, and educational weekend!
Rodrigo Beilfuss is a theatre director, an actor working on stage and screen, and a committed educator. He is currently the Artistic Director of Winnipeg’s Shakespeare in the Ruins (SIR). Rodrigo was a member of the Stratford Festival between 2015 and 2019, working as an actor and director. He trained at the University of Winnipeg (BA Honours) and at the Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre in Stratford; and he also holds an MA in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in England. As a director, Rodrigo is a graduate of the Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction from Stratford. Born in Santa Maria, Brazil, Rodrigo left his tropical Home in 2001 when he was 18 and relocated to Canada, discovering and falling in love with Shakespeare in High School – it’s all Mr McLeod’s fault. Teachers: they shape our worlds.
