Ticketing Policies for Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan (SOTS)
1. Ticket Sales & Exchanges
All Sales Final: All ticket sales are final; no refunds.
Exchanges: Tickets may be exchanged online at no cost up to 24 hours prior to the performance. Exchanges made through the box office are subject to a $4 fee.
Taxes: Ticket prices and service fees include applicable GST and PST.
Seat Allocation: This ticket grants a revocable license for the specified performance. Admission may be refused with a refund of the ticket’s face value. See #3 Admission & Conduct for additional details.
Resale Prohibited: Unauthorized resale or attempted resale of this ticket is strictly prohibited.
2. Weather Policy
Cancellations: Ticket holders assume all weather-related risks. If a performance is canceled due to extreme weather conditions, patrons will be rebooked for another date. If unable to attend, a voucher for the 2026 season or a donation receipt will be issued upon request.
3. Admission & Conduct
Late Arrivals: Patrons arriving late may be admitted and seated at an appropriate time and location, based on availability and at the sole discretion of SOTS front-of-house staff.
Behavior: SOTS reserves the right to refuse admission by refunding the ticket price or to expel any individual whose conduct is deemed inappropriate. Expulsion nullifies the ticket, and the holder forfeits all claims, including any refund.
Lost or Stolen Tickets: Tickets reported as lost or stolen will not be honored.
4. Media & Recording
Media Consent: By attending, you consent to the use of your image or likeness in any video, photograph, or recording for promotional purposes by Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan.
Recording Devices: The use of cameras, video, or audio recording devices is prohibited unless explicitly authorized.
5. Health & Safety
Assumption of Risk: Ticket holders assume all risks of personal injury related to the event, including those occurring before, during, or after the performance.
Health Protocols: Attendees must comply with all health and safety protocols in place at the time of the event.
6. Liability
Limitation of Liability: SOTS is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or property during the event, except where required by law.
Indemnity: Ticket holders agree to indemnify and hold harmless SOTS from any claims arising from their attendance at the event.
7. Accessibility
Accommodations: SOTS is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for all patrons. For detailed information on accessible seating, relaxed performances, and available support services, please visit our FAQ page on our website.
8.Children & Youth Attendance
Age Restrictions: Children under the age of 5 are not permitted unless the performance is specifically designated as suitable for young audiences.
Supervision: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Babes in Arms: While it is not encouraged to bring infants to our performances, under no circumstances would the patron be refused entry.
Note: The above stipulations are not applicable during relaxed performances see item #9.
9.Relaxed Performances
Relaxed performances offer a more inclusive theatre experience with adjusted sound and lighting, house lights dimmed (not dark), and a welcoming environment where patrons are free to move, make noise, or take breaks as needed. Ideal for those with sensory sensitivities, mobility needs, or young children, these shows also include a pre-show overview to introduce the story, highlight any intense moments, and reassure the audience that all actors are safe and performing. overview. 10. Service Disruptions
Performance Changes: SOTS reserves the right to make changes to the performance schedule, including cast changes, without prior notice.
Rescheduling: In the event of a rescheduled performance, tickets will be valid for the new date. If unable to attend, patrons may request an alternate date. A voucher for the 2026 season or a donation receipt will be issued upon request.
