Mona Sadek (She/her) is a 3rd year marketing student at Edwards Business School (EBS) at the University of Saskatchewan. She is the new Digital Marketing & Business Administrative intern through the Co-op program through EBS. As the marketing executive for the student organization Students for Justice and Peace, she brings experience in event organizing, marketing research, and digital/social media marketing.
She is Egyptian-Canadian, born in Saudi Arabia. She has lived in Canada for 13 years and in Saskatoon for 8 of them. She likes reading, art, fashion and all things creative!
What is your favourite play by William Shakespeare? My favourite Shakespeare play at the moment is King Lear.
What do you love about live theatre? What I love about live theatre is that there is no pause button. You’re there witnessing the love, the betrayal, the good and bad with your own eyes. You get to be part of the world that is built and presented on stage, and it is the most fascinating experience.
What makes SOTS special to you? Even though I have not been here for long, working at SOTS feels like a big hug. Never have I found a group so inviting, kind and genuine. There are no two days the exact same and the learning opportunities are endless.
