BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Laura Negraeff

Designation: Member at Large

Laura (she/her) joined the Board in January 2022 and is thrilled to finally have a justification for owning two copies of the complete works of Shakespeare on her bookshelf. Laura is a director, performer, writer, educator and HR professional who currently works as the Producer and an Artistic Associate with Sum Theatre.

Before starting her career as a professional theatre artist and producer, Laura spent 12 years working as a business instructor at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) while also volunteering for numerous community-based organizations. Laura is passionate about human rights, inclusion, and poverty reduction, and through her work has demonstrated strong commitments to decolonization, truth and reconciliation and the improved representation of persons from marginalized communities in business, education, and the arts.

Having grown up and established a family and career in Saskatoon, Laura is excited to be contributing to an organization that has become a fixture of our city identity and is synonymous with summer in Saskatoon. She looks forward to sharing the magic of Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan with her own children, Xavier and Violet, and ensuring the organization thrives well into the future.
