Community Stage

The Community Stage is our secondary tent on the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival site. With room for 75 people, this welcoming area is a beloved part of the Festival environment and has been home to a wide range of performances, installations, and shows throughout the years. 

This summer, we are proud to present the Players’ Series, which provides FREE artistic programming throughout our Festival season.

The Goat’s Tongue created by Peace Akintade

The Goat’s Tongue, an interdisciplinary poetry collection by Poet Laureate Peace Akintade, is brought to life by the author in this new performance piece.

While admission is FREE, we encourage those wishing to attend to register here, as seats are limited.

Squall Line: Prospero’s Retelling created by David Shields

Squall Line is an immersive and surreal exploration of Prospero the magician after the events of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. It uses magic tricks and effects both classical and modern to bring the stage to life and transport the audience onto Prospero’s isle. Come along for a journey into who Prospero is, why he does what he does, and what happens after the storm passes.
