Local Artist
Rory Jewiss (he/they) is a theatre artist from Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan who grew up building elaborate creations out of LEGO bricks. He is currently working on an MFA in Theatre Design and is a recent recipient of a SSHRC grant for his research. Rory is all about the little details in creating theatre, so keep your eyes peeled for all the hidden easter eggs. He is thrilled to be back at SOTS for his 7th season, and hopes you enjoy the Festival! Selected credits include Set for Caught (UAlberta BLT 2026), Set for Mustard (25th Street 2025), Props for Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan (2022, 2024, 2025), Lighting for The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine (Two Bees 2023), and Lighting for The Velveteen Rabbit (Persephone 2023).
