A Midsummer Night’s Dream: 1985 | Demetrius
The Tragedy of Richard II | Duke of Aunmerie
Mitchell Larsen is a performer based in Saskatoon. Some career highlights so far include training in mime with Frank Engel, modern dancing with Free Flow Dance Theatre Company, and being a part of many odd performance art pieces.
Mitchell is overjoyed to be a part of Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan this year. They are thrilled to indulge their love of research as they delve into the history of the events and people of Richard III, growing a deep appreciation for this lesser known and highly relevant work.
Midsummer Night’s Dream holds a particularly dear place in their heart as the first Shakespearean play they saw performed live. They were carried away by the magic of it all. Mitchell remembers a moment during the play within a play when Moonlight stomped on a stuffed toy dog, and amidst an otherwise silent theatre, Mitchell involuntarily yelped in surprise. After some good-natured ribbing — they were there with about 50 of their fellow high school classmates— the magic lingered.
They are very grateful for their fellow artists, administrators, mentors, collaborators, audiences, husband, friends, family, and cats who make life rewarding and beautiful. Thank you.
