Lisa Bayliss (she/her) is honoured to return to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan as part of the 2023 acting company. Last summer, she gave a memorable performance as Anne Hathaway in the one person play Shakespeare’s Will. In previous seasons, Lisa appeared as Baptista in Taming of the Shrew, Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Maria in Twelfth Night and the Duchess of York in Richard lll.
Additionally, she has appeared in Cottagers and Indians; Pride and Prejudice; Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead; Between the Sheets and Sexy Laundry (Persephone Theatre); The Wolves (Live Five/ EvilStick Productions/littleBIG Theatre); After Sundown (Live Five/Pegasus Productions); We Treaty People (Burnt Thicket Theatre); Short Cuts Festival (Hardly Art); and Sum Theatre.
Lisa’s acting career spans several decades in theatre, film, and television. Originally from Vancouver, she has appeared in numerous BC productions with Bard on the Beach, the Arts Club Theatre, Belfry Theatre, Firehall Theatre, Western Canada Theatre, the Vancouver Playhouse, and Richmond Gateway Theatre.
